And so 2007 ends, and we enter another year! We at Focus Professionals, Inc. wanted to take this time to wish you all a great a prosperous 2008… the market may be difficult in many places, but mortgage rates are low, inventory is high, and prices of homes are low… cant beat this market for buying… with that in mind, we wish all of you who are agents out there the best year year yet, and to all you consumers and investors we wish you good purchases, growth, and health in the coming year…
With oil prices climbing ($100 a barrel as I write this), the mortgage industry weakness, and a soft market for property owners, it is hard to see clear to a bigger and better year, but it is possible, even likely, if we all do the right things, and keep our minds about us as we move forward… Our firm had one of its best years last year, and we are looking forward to a strong January… we hope this coming year will lead us to better business, personal growth, comapny strength, and joy for all.

We have changed our name! We are now called Focus Professionals, Inc.!
We are doing this so that we can expand into several markets where we had not previously done business, and where, unfortunately, there was another firm with a very similar name to ours which had been there previously.
Of course, our excellent personalized and professional service will not suffer from this change, but we like to think will actually improve.

Consumers and Realtors be on Alert… not every one seems to have had a nice holiday, and there are predators out there… please take this seriously, your safety is at stake…
You can never be too safe, and with crazy people out there, it pays ever more to be careful… here is the content of an email that just came through from the Rhode Island Association of Realtors… Please pay attention, and call the police if you encounter this guy… of course, his clothing may have changed by now…

Dear REALTOR:
Please be on the lookout for the following person and do not hesitate to contact the police immediately if he enters your office.
We have received reports from the Kent Washington Association of REALTORS and REALTOR offices about a suspicious man, who identified himself as “Gary” and is driving a dark colored Honda or Toyota with Maryland license plates. He has visited at least several offices in South County today and insisted on viewing luxury homes immediately. He claimed to work for the CIA and made personal comments to female agents and employees, asked them whether they were married, physically touched them, and stormed out of the office when they would not leave immediately to view properties with them. The police are looking for him to serve him with “no contact” orders. He has been ejected from at least two restaurants today.
Here is a description:
- He may use an alias – his name is Gary.
- White, age 56.
- Lt brown hair, slightly receding hairline.
- 5’8”, wearing a black leather jacket with a stained gray T shirt that says “V.T.”
- Has glasses, does not always wear them.
- He’s driving a dark colored Honda or Toyota with Maryland license plates.

Christmas with the family was a great treat… the food was fabulous…
During the course of Christmas eve Mandie had to deal with a closing, which meant the folks who bought ended up having Christmas in their new home, even if they did not have furniture… Focus Real Estate Group provided a tree for the young couple… they were exstatic.
For the new year, we want to announce two new web resources for the group:
1) Homes-In-MA.com — our new site for Southeastern Massachusetts real estate services. A comprehensive site, with features for home buyers, home sellers, and property investors working in Bristol County and Cape Cod, and most of Southeastern Massachusetts.
2) TheFocusRealEstateGroup.com — our new corporate site. This site includes information about the various resources we provide to clients, whether home buyers and sellers, investors, or income property owners.
We hope the addition of these sites makes the group of sites we provide more comprehensive for our clients and for the general public.
